Today's topic is all about humbleness; a concept that is occasionally misused by the world, commonly in religious terms and in reference to successful people. A lot of us deem humbleness as the ability to hide our achievements from those who have not tasted success - as a manner of accomodating them. Well at least in my opinion based on what I have learned about social constructs. But bruh, for real though, is minimizing yourself for people really the practice of humility or a social construct created increase low self esteem?
Well here's what I believe... Confidence and humbleness cannot exist without each other, just as arrogance and insecurities go hand in hand. The most arrogant people on the planet are normally those who would never shine the light on other people simply because their narcism does not open room for them to be self sufficient enough to share their formula towards success with others. Surely we can all relate this statement to a lot of corrupt politicians. This is a mechanism we often fall victim to when we get in touch with our insecurities and feel the need to protect ourselves more from losing what we have acquired in life, monetarily, morally, intellectually or spiritually, it applies in every realm especially when we believe that we are better than everybody.
But in parallel, never make the mistake of believing that low self-esteem is humbleness, because it ain't. In fact, this is the vehicle that carries the lack of self understanding and love.

So then, what is confidence and what is humbleness? the two fall under one definition in my world as an artist; I believe that it is the ability to acquire self-understanding, love, respect, integrity and honour, while accompanying these characteristics with the willingness to learn and share knowledge, wisdom and power with other people. These are the reasons I make music and share it with you guys. Please check out a song called "Hair" on Echoes Where Children Play, the song touches on situations relevant to this.
